Spending time with my nephew and niece has been a highlight for me since being back. Ioan was very sick when we first met him so we didn't get to see the smiley, cheeky boy he is till he was feeling better, but he warmed up to us pretty fast.
Esther, on the other hand, couldn't figure out who these strange new people were.
On the first Monday I was sat in the upstairs lounge (the house we stayed in was huge and lovely) and I said to Esther, "Do you want to come and sit with me?" while patting the settee. "No", and she ran off the other way.
Tuesday, Sam asked me to dress her but she was having none of it and hid behind Granny and Grandpa.
Esther and Ioan both love our children. Esther has particularly taken a shine to Joshua, and he is very good with her. Ioan wants to follow them on 4 speed crawl and even tried climbing on the bed they were jumping on!
