I thought we would find it quite natural to revert to driving on the left and on the right hand side of the car but actually we loved driving in France and being on the right hand side of the road again. It felt like home! Even though we were on the "wrong" side of the car.
On our way to the Ocearium we visited, Steve nearly ran over a Frenchman because he forgot to stop at a zebra crossing - that has been our hardest cultural adjustment in driving - zebra crossings and letting people out!
There is even less traffic on the French roads than the English ones which is very strange. We did end up in a long queue, however, while waiting for a bridge to rise for a yacht to get into the harbour.
