We got to spend the afternoon at "Uncle Simon's Hotel". It has become his hotel ever since he stayed there while visiting us. Rose even went so far as to ask if we were swimming in his pool! It's a bit like the condos are "Aunty Wendy's building" despite all the other people we know who live in that building.
We were able to go because it is where Steve is staying for his administrator's conference, and though we only got to see him for about 20 minutes, we did enjoy the perk! It actually took us far longer to get to the pool than I anticipated as the malls were closed - or opening late - as it was a public holiday. But we made it and enjoyed lounging by the poolside and swimming in the cold pool. It's always nice to do something slightly different, and as my friend said, "you feel like you are in a different city sat by that pool".
We were all tired coming home though and Joshua and Naomi crashed in the car. Rose started throwing up so all three went to bed as soon as we got home. Josh woke up after a few minutes so he and I had tea together before attempting to put him to bed which was not entirely successful!
When Naomi woke up in the morning (at 7!) she was most upset that she was still in her clothes!
