This was the way I was woken up this morning at 5 a.m. :
Joshua: Mummy, I'm asking you to get up because daddy always gets up and he must be tired!
Well, I can't really refuse him without modelling incredible selfishness to my children, can I?!
Later on when Steve got up, Rose said "I thought it was Sunday because daddy's in the shower"
D: Does daddy only have showers on Sundays?!
R: No....
What she was trying to say was because Steve had a lie-in and was showering later!!
This afternoon - after an awful morning, it has to be said - the Pape children came over to play for the last time (they fly tomorrow) and we eventually ended up with lots of children as their friends began coming over to say goodbye and ended up staying at our house to play too! We ended up with 10 children including ours before we sent them all home at dinner time.
