A Day of Culture!

I took H and J to the US Embassy Club Shopper's Day (quite the mouthful!) to look for good presents. I have never been before but it was amazing. Loads of choice and not as expensive as I expected - despite being aimed at ex-pats! H was actually pretty restrained but J and I were not!! In my defence, I bought a lot of presents for other people. But I have decided it is a trip I must make with my mum and when my brother and sister-in-law come.
To make the trip completely cultural we took public transport home which consisted of a taxi-ride to the MRT (light rail), the MRT, 2 jeepney rides (we managed to pick two of the noisiest with booming bass! H said I was getting old because I complained of ringing eardrums when we got home! But I did just read an article on ear damage.) and a trike to the house. This was made slightly more complicated as H had bought a big (lovely) box and we had it packed in a cardboard box made especially to fit the bought box. Not only was it a little big when we were sat on public but the security personnel decided they had to open it before we got through to the MRT. And then re-seal it, of course!
