Airport Runs

Yes, that time had arrived - taking our guests to the airport. H left Monday night and J Tuesday morning.
Every time I drive there though, I am struck by how convoluted the route is - it feels like you go round the wrekin to get to it. The government have removed all the squatter housing (Balik-Balik) around the railtrack down there too. It looks so bare and the promised renovation of the railtrack has not materialised yet which makes me wonder if it was just a ruse to move everybody.
Dropping people off is so bizarre here. You literally have 2 minutes to drop your guests and go! You make sure they know how to navigate the inside of the airport and leave them! It has to be one of the most boring airports in the world too with a lack of facilities and shops etc that most other places have now. But the "new" airport is at least being used now - mainly by the domestic airlines - it looks nice - lots of space and light (at least from the outside!).
It's always sad to see guests leave - especially when they have been such a great addition - but at the same time it is nice to reclaim your house!! Rose kept saying, "We can sleep by ourselves again".
At the same time I am looking forward to our next guests - my mum and dad :)
