It's sad that so much of Easter in this country focuses more on the
death of Jesus. I mean it's called
Good Friday for a reason - that even though Jesus died, we have the hope of the Resurrection on Sunday. I was very moved as I shared a reading of the George Herbert poem "The Sacrifice". It brought a freshness to the sacrifice Father and Son made and reminded me of the purposefulness of God's plan from Creation through Easter and now being played out till Jesus comes again. Talk about hope! It gives me tingles thinking about it.
