International Week Parade
Today was the grand culmination of International Week in the form of the parade in which the children dress up in National costume and parade around the circle at Faith Academy behind the relevant continent sign. Rose insisted on wearing her yellow dress and not her "wedding dress" (the dress she wore to Sam and Emma's wedding). She marched behind the Australasia sign as they have been studying that continent in Kindergarten and I think she is quite enamoured with Australia and its animals. In chapel on Friday, each grade wrote a verse of a song that they were to sing. Roses's class sang "I love Australia and all its animals, the funny looking platypus with its webbed feet, the kangaroo, the emu, the wombat, boomiwalla, boomiwalla, boomiwalla".
